Have you ever had the lid to a bottle of Snapple? You know how you can "click" that lid by pushing it in and out? These bowls are kind of the same thickness of metal. You can do that to the bottoms of the bowls. They're not bad bowls, but I thought they'd be thicker. I would get them despite the lack of thickness, but I think I overpaid based on that. As an aside, the stickers that are on the bottom of the bowls when you first open them are ridiculous to remove! Sounds dumb to be annoyed by that, but I hate when that happens. Goo Gone worked for me after a couple of applications.

This a really nice nested bowl set super sturdy and I like the feel of the bowl on outside, the color is a true red not burgundy,,very nice

A prior reviewer said these bowls were the same thickness as a Snapple lid. I have to disagree. These bowls are thicker. However, the bottom of the middle size bowl will indeed "pop" like the lid of a Snapple bottle, so the prior reviewer had some basis for the statement. But you have to consider scale. These bowls are definitely thicker than a Snapple bottle lid.Anyway, I also feel these are decent bowls. They are at least as thick as any other stainless steel bowls in this price range. After receiving mine I compared them to others I owned as well as others in various stores. I'm satisfied that these are a good value. Many similar bowl sets are priced much higher. I found one set on sale at 40% off which resulted in a slightly lower price, but those bowls were shallow with sloping sides (which is not what I wanted). And they certainly were no thicker than these.These bowls have steep sides and the bowls are deep. If you like that configuration, these bowl should do fine.BTW, again referencing a prior review, the stickers on the inside bottom of my bowls had already come off. I didn't even have to peel them off. The other reviewer said they are "ridiculous to remove!" Not so for me.The other reviewer and I agree: these are not bad bowls. I also happen to think they are a good value.
