As another reviewer pointed out, this "4 Quart" batter bowl does not hold 4 quarts even when filled to the very top. The non-skid bottom is nice and considering it wasn't too expensive, I will be keeping it. However, I was very disappointed in the actual size. I wanted something sized bigger... like... say... 4 quarts.

I was so excited to get this really big bowl, but big bowl it is NOT. I opened the box and thought that looks like the exact same size as my two quart batter bowl. I thought they had the description wrong on Amazon, but the label in the bottom of the bowl said it was supposed to be four quarts.So I got out my measuring cup and checked it out. Four quarts would be sixteen cups, right? At least that is what I learned in school. This bowl will only hold fourteen cups and that is filled to the very, very, tippy top of the bowl. I stood there for the longest time trying to figure out how to get the other two cups to fit. When I tried pouring them in they just flowed right over the side. It didn't matter how many times I tried to get the last two cups to fit they just would not do it. Now I'm sure you know I was not dumb enough to do that, but it is just beyond me how they could possible say this is a four quart bowl. Hang on. I think I just figured this out . . . It was made in China. Now I understand. The water in China must be more compact because of all the plastic additives they put in it to make it appear more pure. So I guess Chinese quarts are smaller than American quarts. At least the mystery is solved, but I use American water. I want a bowl that measures American quarts. This bowl will be going back pronto.
