First the measurements: The diameter on top is about 8.5 inch, the height is 4 inches, and it takes about a bit more than 8 cups. I ordered three of these bowls, in blue, green, and yellow. I was impressed when I receive them and read the attached tag. They have certificates from FDA, Europe, and Japan for being safe to use for food. Also they have very nice and calming color tones. I leave all three of them stacked together on my kitchen counter top and I use them to wash fruits and berries, I put vegetable in them after I chop until I am ready to add them to the cooking pot or cake mix, when I peel fruits or vegetable I put all the skin and unusable parts in them and at the end of cooking I throw things in trash. In general they are my best handy and go to bowls ever !

This is a pretty nice little bowl for making whipped cream or even pancakes, but for making firmer batter, like for cakes, it's too light. It could also use a non-slip bottom for that. You have to hold it really firmly. I’m also missing any “writing” on it. There is no brand name, which would be helpful if I’d look for a replacement down the road, and I would like to have some information like “microwave safe”, and mention the temperature range (here: -4 to 248 degrees F). All that useful info is on the paper label but who keeps those around, and I certainly don’t remember which one of my dishes can go in the freezer or not. So, here it is: it’s dishwasher safe, microwavable, water, oil and heat resistant up to 248 degrees F and can go in the freezer as long it’s not colder than -4 F, which most aren’t. So, nice and inexpensive enough to keep it, but not as useful as I was hoping for.
