When my ancient batter bowl by Anchor Hocking broke a few weeks ago, I was devastated! All the other batter bowls in the 8 cup size had SQUARE bottoms. This "square bottom" design is NOT a good one. You can not get your beater blades in such a cornered bowl. So, AMAZON to the rescue! I started my search and found the "Classic 2 qt batter bowl by Pampered Chef" It is an exact replica of my old bowl. It is microwavable, and measures and mixes like a dream! It is an essential kitchen tool for cakes, puddings, gravies and sauces, because the height keeps "boil-overs" to a minimum in the microwave. Buy this one!

The Pampered Chef batter bowl is great. If you buy get the 2 qt. as I did. It is easy to handle and pours with ease. I mix everything in it and if you make pancakes or crepes, you can make the batter ahead of time and use some at a time and keep the cover on so it dosen't dry out the top of the batter. I use it nearly everyday. I wouldn't be without it. Actually I had one and bought a second one. Great product!
